The Solar field is defined as the area that lies between the nodes of the moon. The moon nodes are where the orbit of the moon intersects the path of the sun, In astrology, the Moon's Nodes (the Dragon's Head and Tail) are not planets in the strict astronomical sense, but rather sensitive points on the ecliptic, where the Moon crosses from north to south latitude and vice versa.
The nodes are commonly known as the Dragon's Head (Caput Draconis in Latin), the North Node, and Dragon's Tail (Cauda Draconis), the South Node. Their motion is normally retrograde at the rate of roughly one degree every 19 days (compare the 19 year cycle of lunation); periods of direct motion.
The placement of the Nodes is important, because it illustrates a relationship between the Moon, the Earth and the Sun (eclipses can be calculated by the movement of the nodal axis).

Between the earth and the Sun there are three spheres Mercury, Venus and the Moon, known astrologically as the inner planets. The planets beyond earth, the outer planets, crosses the solar field once a year, with the exception of Mars who crosses the solar field roughly every two years. In the graph above Pluto is seen as a straight  line that intersects with Venus and Mercury around the 28th of June.

The Moon spends two weeks every month in the solar field around new moon, the moon has the shortest cycle, acting as a catalyst for activity.

Mercury and Venus travels close to the sun and is rarely outside the Solar Field. Mercury can never be more than 28 degrees away from the Sun orbiting the Sun in 88days.Venus is the brightest planet in the night sky, revealing herself in phases; Venus is brightest in the cresent phase closest to the earth and appears much smaller in her "full" phase on the far side of the sun in relation to the earth. The earth in relation to the sun is always in the opposite Zodiacal sign from a heliocentric position.

Venus and Mercury can be observed at dawn, as the morning star seen on one side of the sun as in the graph Venus is ahead of the Sun moving towards a superior conjunction , or in the evening at sunset as the evening star on the other side of the sun moving towards an inferior conjunction. Moreover, Mercury and Venus can disappear behind the Sun for periods as well.

In financial astrology Mercury represent trade, and communications and indicates short term rises and falls, furthermore the short term traders. Venus represents value long term investments  a stabilising influence
